Our tour starts from the path of the river Kladeos, who was worshiped as a deity and demarcated the area of ​​“Altis” on its western side, and at some points we can also see the ancient walls that protected the area from any overflow of the river.

Then we will pass through a path with olive trees and we will reach the river “Alphios” which according to mythology was the favorite river of the god “Zeys” and watered the entire area of ​​Ancient Olympia.

Later, we will head to the site of the “Ipodrome” of Ancient Olympia, where horse races were held in ancient times, then we will see the facilities of the Olympic Academy, the tomb-monument of the revivalist of the modern Olympic Games, Pierre de Cuperden, and the temple of Demetras “Hamynis”, who recently discovered.

We will continue to the Ancient stadium but from an alternative route, so we will be able to see the temple of Eilithia in the botanical garden and we will finish our walk by going to the hill of “Galani” which was part of the route from Ancient “Ilida” to Ancient Olympia. Then from a downhill road we will finish our tour to Olympia village.
